It’s back! National Geographic and Trailhead present the 36th edition of the Best Of The Banff Mountain Film Festival.
The Best Of is a touring selection of prizewinners and highlights from the Banff Mountain Film Festival, an annual event that showcases short films on mountain sports, adventure and the environment. Many of the top award winners are featured in the show, which offers plenty of enlightenment and entertainment for anyone who loves the great outdoors. The films are introduced by a Banff Festival representative, and the evening includes additional information on clothes and equipment for outdoor activities, along with door prizes! The show will be presented twice, on Monday Jan. 23rd and Tuesday Jan. 24th.
Tickets are $16.00 each and are available at Trailhead, 1960 Scott St. (cash, Visa or debit card), or at the ByTowne (cash only). Sorry, no discount for ByTowne members and NO free passes will be accepted.

The ByTowne doesn't have a parking lot of its own, but denizens of downtown can usually find street parking close by fairly easily.
This web site is very useful, but the hard copy of the ByTowne guide still has its merits. People rely on it and love it.
