Set in the ‘90s and with the beautiful, rural New Zealand landscape as its backdrop, “Juniper” tells the story of Sam (George Ferrier), a self-destructive teenager who, upon returning home from boarding school, finds that his feisty, alcoholic, wheelchair-bound grandmother Ruth (Charlotte Rampling) has moved in.
Sam is tasked with looking after his Grandmother and, although initially intended as a punishment, the two will form an unexpected bond. The time they spend together might just be the thing Sam needed to turn his life around.
