How much of yourself would you give to rebuild your life?
The Brutalist follows Hungarian-Jewish architect László Toth (Adrien Brody) as he flees post-war Europe for America, determined to reunite with his wife Erzsébet (Felicity Jones) and rebuild his career. Landing in Pennsylvania, László’s brilliance catches the eye of industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren (Guy Pearce), who offers him a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a monumental project. But this new dream comes with a heavy cost, forcing László to confront the sacrifices he must make for love, legacy, and ambition.
From director Brady Corbet (Vox Lux), this sweeping American epic explores resilience, identity, and the stark price of greatness, with standout performances by Brody, Pearce, and Joe Alwyn. An intricate blend of personal and political stakes, The Brutalist is a bold cinematic vision that asks: how much of ourselves do we leave behind in pursuit of our dreams?
