The ByTowne is now closed.

It's possible that, after the pandemic has been brought under control,
new management will take over the space and offer big-screen wonderfulness again.

The building is being maintained, with all its facilities and equipment intact,
in preparation for that hoped-for day.

Croatian Film Festival - Zagreb Cappuccino

Part of the Croatian Anniversary Film Festival, presented by the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia!

Poster for the Croatian drama Zagreb CappuccinoForty-something Petra (Nela Kocis), who lives in Zagreb, is getting divorced and her best friend Kika (Mila Elegović) comes to visit from Germany to help her get through the shock. But as Kika, a cosmopolitan party girl, teaches Petra how to carry on with her life without a husband and family, it becomes clear that her exciting, single life is perhaps not as happy as she’s led her friend to believe.

Over several cups of coffee and nights out, we get to know their fears and burdens, their solitude and their unsureness, and how the best friendships make the world so much brighter.
