It’s werewolf appreciation night at the Boo-Towne!
While hiking across the moors in England under a full moon (bad idea!), David (David Naughton) and Jack (Griffin Dunne) are attacked by a some sort of beast that none of the locals will even admit exists. David makes it out alive but he’s definitely not the same man. With the help of Alex (Jenny Agutter), he tries to make sense of the monstrous changes that are happening to him while also coming to terms with the fact that he’s being haunted by his new best friend, who’s now a rotting corpse.
Writer/Director John Landis masterfully mixes horror and humour in a film that also features unbelievable Academy-Award-winning effects from Rick Baker, and the best use of the doo-wop song “Blue Moon” in cinema history.
