A personal and deeply moving, coming of age story of director Ilze Burkovska-Jacobsen, while growing up in Cold-War Latvia, USSR. A captivating film of a young girl finding her own identity, truth and loyalty while on the path of escape from the brainwashing of the mighty authoritarian regime. MY FAVORITE WAR is an anti-war film that emphasizes the importance of everyone’s individual freedom as a fundamental right of a democratic society.
