July Talk: Love Lives Here

Staples of the modern Canadian indie rock scene, July Talk built a fan base on the back of their relentless touring, high-energy shows and impeccable songwriting. The group was set to release their much anticipated third album and continue to tour, but when the world shut down during the COVID pandemic, the band was forced to take a pause.
“Love Lives Here” follows the group as they decide on and execute a plan to come together for a one-of-a-kind drive-in theatre show in August 2020. Larger in scale than any of their previous engagements, it was filled with professional and personal risks. Would anyone show up? Could they pull it off safely?
Director Brittany Farhat captures every intimate moment as band leaders Leah Fay and Peter Dreimanis develop a concert manifesto that aligns with their politics while anticipation builds for their epic event in black-and-white film grain.
Whether you’re a hard core fan or you just like good storytelling, you won’t want to miss seeing it!
