Scholarship Screening of “Ice-Breaker: The ’72 Summit Series”

Witness this thrilling feature-length documentary about the greatest hockey series ever played while contributing to a Canadian diplomatic scholarship fund for a graduate student of indigenous background to study international affairs at Carleton University in Ottawa.

IceBreaker, based in part on the best-selling book ‘’Ice War Diplomat’’, uniquely captures the vital politics and diplomacy as well as the enthralling hockey of this historic series with spectacular drone sequences, sharp analysis by hockey legends Wayne Gretzky and Igor Larionov among others, and an extraordinary reenactment of Henderson’s winning goal by Soviet goaltender Vladislav Tretiak.

A Q&A session with the film director and book author will be held after the screening.

All ticket proceeds and book royalties from the evening will go to the scholarship fund which is named after the late, former Ambassador, Deborah Chatsis. Representatives from Carleton will be present to accept additional donations.
