Come and celebrate the official kickoff of the Ottawa International Animation Festival with the Opening Ceremonies and the first Gala screening of the Short Film Competition. A mix of films from the Commissioned, Narrative, Non-Narrative, and Student Competition categories, Short Film Competition 1 blends light-hearted tales of family and male balding, an homage to an early pioneer of animation, a harrowing escape from an ever-encroaching war, and more.
